Default Bracing without sheathing.

Hallo to anyone out there

I figured I'd post a Q and see what happened.
I'm looking at building a second storey renovation and would like to use steel cross bracing in place of sheathing. Simpson product??
I'm quite certain it exists but have never used it.
Any thoughts?
BTW I use this exact format daily for a design/drafting product. There are people on there with over 10,000 posts!!! Incredible amounts of free info.

Lets share the knowledge!!

Thanks,

Lee

Lee,
I'm not qualified to answer your question, but this Branch Engineer from Simpson Strong-Tie has given me some very good technical info on their products...

Ken,

Thanks for the reply. I managed to find what I was looking for in the meantime. The contact name and e-mail will be very helpful though.

Have you thought about contacting the trade schools and making them aware that this service exists!?
As I mentioned in my original thread, I use www.chieftalk.com almost daily.

Thanks again,

Lee
