 BC Building Info is the brainchild of Ken Farrish. For over 40 years he served the building industry as a product supplier, consultant, and trainer. He has volunteered on committees and boards of many trade associations, and community organizations.
Known as an information packrat, he can usually be counted on not necessarily to know anything, but likely to know where you can find things. Ken has recently come to grips with the fact that all his life he has been a closet librarian.
Over the years, as he developed and delivered training programs, he became aware of the positive results when course attendees would share their ideas, problems and resources with others. His goal is to duplicate this “sharing” approach to learning by building an online community within the BC BuildingInfo
site.
This site’s business model is similar to a publishing organization. The product is information. The customers are industry members. Site revenues come from
advertising, site licensing, and eventually subscription fees.
