BC Gov: New BC Water Sustainability Act
BC government's Bill 18, the Water Sustainability Act, received Royal Assent on May 29, and is expected to come into force in 2015, once supporting regulations are developed and finalized. This is a major step forward for sustainable management of our most precious resource. The current Water Act will remain in force over the next year in order to maintain continuity of business. As the new Water Sustainability Act comes into force, the Water Act will be repealed.
