I find that associations are usually an excellent place to find product suppliers by searching through their membership lists.

Construction Associations
4Specs provides an alphabetical listing of North American construction and building product associations and reference organizations. It also has forums on building products.

You can find professional & trade associations, government agencies, organizations, foundations, and councils & groups, here on the Construction Canada Web site.

BC Industry Associations
Small Business BC has both a summary and detailed listing of for more than 275 industry and business associations serving British Columbia, with contact information and web addresses.
